Crime
Information:
Street
crime is not a serious problem at the capital, Montevideo.
Evertheless, walking alone or in small groups is not recommended
in the downtown area, Old City (Ciudad Vieja) and the neightborhoods
surrounding the port zone, after dark, or even during the
day in well-traveled areas on the weekends.
